CHECK YOUR ADVANTAGE LISTING TODAY!

Companies that have uploaded information on GSA Advantage with a UPC waiver, or those with older information, should check their Advantage listings immediately.  The information you think you loaded may have been changed.  Companies have reported that their contract information, including product descriptions, pictures, and part numbers, have been changed by GSA’s Advantage software.  This most frequently happens in cases where a company has been granted a waiver from having to identify each item with a Universal Product Code (UPC), but may also impact older information.  Didn’t upload a picture?  The system may have substituted one for you.  It may or may not look your actual item, either.  GSA is aware of the issue with companies that are currently updating their Advantage profile.  If yours is a few months old, or older, however, you need to make sure your Advantage listing is accurate.  You cannot be sure that GSA’s software hasn’t changed your contract information.  Until this issue is resolved, Allen Federal recommends either uploading Advantage changes with a UPC, or not uploading at all.  GSA insists that your data be accurate, current and complete.  They need to ensure their system doesn’t make it something else.
