2016 A HUGE YEAR FOR IT CONTRACT CAPTURE

“This is the biggest year for federal IT contract vehicles in a decade, and when the dust settles by the middle of next year, the playing field will be set for the next decade in IT services,” says one veteran federal IT analyst.  No company will be able to be on every vehicle, so research on the best fits for your company is essential.  If you will not, or cannot, prime with whom will you partner?  For large companies, small business teammates may be more important now than in some time.  Regardless of size, make sure you know what makes your firm attractive to potential partners.  Hint:  A good business pipeline helps.  Contracts awarded just this year are expected to control at least 10% of solutions spending, or as much as $100 billion through 2026.  Contracts like the Army’s ITES 3S, GSA’s Enterprise Information Solutions (now out for bid) and Alliant II are the big names, but other contracts also have the potential to drive big business.  Make sure your bid team is staffed up and ready to work overtime.
