AS ALLIANT II RELEASED, GSA SIGNS UP ANOTHER OASIS CUSTOMER

Today is the day that the much-anticipated Alliant II RFP is scheduled to be released by GSA. The initial Alliant contract has already established itself as a “go-to” GWAC for IT solutions. In the meantime, OASIS, Alliant’s sister contract for professional services, continues to increase its footprint. The Office of the Secretary of Defense, DISA, DLA, other DOD agencies, signed a memorandum of understanding with GSA that commits those agencies to using OASIS for at least $500 million in professional services buys. GSA is charging these DOD customers a sliding scale fee that will drop to as low as .10%, depending on how much business actually flows through the contract. This new DOD deal is in addition to MOU’s GSA has already established with the Army and Air Force. The Navy Sea Systems Command has a similar deal, making OASIS a preferred vehicle throughout much of the Department of Defense. GSA’s OASIS team is likely to open a portion of the companion OASIS Small Business contract to new offers later this calendar year. Whether it’s Alliant or OASIS, contractors in IT and professional services should strongly consider priming, or being part of a team, on these important contract vehicles.
